2014 NCAA Basketball Tournament (official thread)

Eh, those arguments appealing to last season are pretty meaningless. Case in point--the winner of tonight's game will have beaten a team tonight that didn't even make the tournament last year.

Eh, your posts are pretty meaningless. Chasing people around and disagreeing with everything they post is an old, stale act. Been there, done that.

As for the content of your brilliant reply, the two finalists from last year were also a 2 seed and a 4 seed this year, and the 4 seed was a popular pick to win this tournament. It's not just about what they did last year. So your attempted counter point about tonight's teams not being in the tournament last year is irrelevant.

Otherwise, you presented an excellent argument.

Michigan lost the heart and soul of its team--a guy that was responsible (catch the Kansas game last year?) for their run and who was drafted 9th overall. And that's to say nothing of the loss of McGary. If you thought Michigan was making a serious run in this year's tournament, then you must've missed this year's BTT championship game.

Louisville similarly lost a first rounder as well as a second rounder who was the heart of last year's title team.

And, as said before, both Kentucky and UConn weren't even tournament teams and yet here they are playing for the title tonight.

So, yeah, appealing to last year's teams is a fool's argument.

This may be far more entertaining than the game...
