Sep 3rd nears closer... I took a look at week 1 and there are a lot of watchable games. Bolded the must sees imo

North Carolina vs. South Carolina - battle of the Carolinas
Michigan vs. Utah - this should be a pounding, Utah is a tough team that's underrated
TCU vs. Minny - Not expecting much from Minny but still a game to see
Washington vs. Boise St - CP vs. his old school
Stanford vs. Northwestern - battle of the nerds
BYU vs. Nebraska - BYU lost leading rusher, Neb with the new coach
Virginia vs. UCLA - I see a Bruins victory
L'ville vs. Aubarn - two ranked schools should be good, Auburn hype train is full speed
ASU vs. TAMU - I'm a Sun Devil so hoping we can knock off the cult of the south
Texas vs. ND - Domers win by 3 scores
Wisconsin vs. BAMA - Badgers could catch a new QB off-guard, SEC gets home field

Ohio St vs. VT - been waiting for this one for a year, GO BUCKS

Sure, but that only gets us 1 minute closer to football.

A couple of others I am interested in:

Michigan State at Western Michigan on Friday: a rare road game to a weather vane school, and WMU seems to be the chic pick to win the MAC. I certainly don't expect a Bronco victory, but how this game goes could say a lot about both teams.

UTEP at Arkansas: talk about a chic pick, those 2 SEC! wins in 2 years have Arkansas in the...top 10??? UTEP went to a bowl last year, could the enema get his ass kicked?

BGSU at Tennessee: The potential MAC East champ versus another SEC team people all of a sudden think is going to be amazing after years of futility. Again not expecting a Falcon win, but they pushed Mississippi State to 21-20 2 years ago.

Would not typically watch UNC/USCe but it's Thursday night at 6:00... there is nothing else to watch. So my recommendation is to watch this until 9 just to get pumped before the TCU/Minny showdown. I know, you say we are saying what about the ttun game at 8:30? But my response would be why would you punish yourself with watching 3-4 hours sun and blue when there are other perfectly ok games on? So enjoy the TCU/Minny game for a few hours, and at around 11 TCU should have thoroughly plungered Minny for 2 hours and the game should be over. At this point it will be time to switch over to ttun/Utah and enjoy what is hopefully the first meltdown of the Hairball era.

On Friday I would suggest not watching football. The only games that look like they could be good are Kent State/ Illini and Washington/ Boise State.

Saturday looks to be loaded. I would start with the Cardinal going to Northwestern at noon. I think get ready for a surprise here. I personally think Stanford is going back downhill sooner rather than later. The game is at NW, and those Fitz teams are unpredictable. I look for a close game here. There are no other good games at noon that I could find.
At 3:30 that brings you to the corn v the mormon. Also should be a good game as I expect corn to be down this year. This will be on the big TV. The small tv will be flipping between ped state v temple and louisville v auburn and perhaps virginia v ucla, though I expect all of them to be blowouts, I will end up leaving on whichever turns out the closest. BG at tennessee could also become interesting and I see a potential upset with all the hype tennessee has been getting.
This should get you to 7 where I hope to see ASU kicking in the ATM. Wisky Bama will be on the small TV and if it's a good game it make jump to the big TV. Bama lost most of their starters on both sides of the ball, so in game 1 wisky has a shot.

How unbelievably sweet would that be? Two games in a row, to end one season and begin the next with a defeat by a BIG team? Mercy.
That prospect is so good I don't dare think about it.

WTF is Michigan State doing opening AT Western Michigan? Purdue at Marshall? I can at least understand Penn State traveling to Philly to play Temple as a recruiting trip... but guys, you're the big boys from the big conference. The little guys come to play at your house.
