Who should be the replacement for Tom Herman?

I'd like to suggest Marc Trestman.

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

This war differs from other wars, in this particular. We are not fighting armies but a hostile people, and must make old and young, rich and poor, feel the hard hand of war.

I would make this war as severe as possible, and show no symptoms of tiring till the South begs for mercy.

War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want.

Hire General William T Sherman he has a great game plan on how to handle southern (SEC) teams. Burn....Baby....Burn.

Honestly, all the posting about Sherman is ... offensive.

There are a lot of honorable people in Dixie who regard Sherman as a war criminal. It's always dangerous to look at 19th-century men with 21st-century perspective, but I think with all the Alabama people visiting these posts are in exceptionally poor taste.

Those same people think that Nathan Bedford Forrest and Jefferson Davis are heroes of the south. Fuck those people.

Warinner and then hire a QB coach.

This. Give Warriner a MASSIVE pay increase and keep him at all costs. I doubt we could get Whitfield out here as a QB coach but that would be incredible. Honestly, Trestman would be a great QB coach. Whoever we get, I just want him to be a great coach...really don't need a massive recruiter at the QB spot with Haskins presumably in for '16 and Clark for '17, we do not need immediate recruiting prowess there...just a great developer of talent. Plus Urban dominates the QB recruiting scene anyways. Just get a great coach.

I don't think you could go wrong with Marc Trestman or Sonny Cumbie (TCU's Offensive Coordinator/QB coach).

Cumbie would be an interesting choice. Developed Trevone Boykin from a WR/RB and turned him into a Heisman candidate, lead one of the most potent offenses in the country this past year, and is very familiar with Texas for recruiting.
