2016-2017 B1G Basketball (Official Thread)

Kevin Warren is an ass
I thought I would start this thread so we would have one place to make fun of all the other teams in the conference this season. It would be nice if this thread was pinned. Thank you.

At least we can get some laughs put of Indiana massively under achieving
Underachieving season made even more bizarre by the fact that they beat Kansas and UNC this season. How many teams have 2 wins in a year against blue bloods like that and still manage to hit the "underachieving" label?

Tom Crean has found a way to do that in about a month.

It is hard to believe that Nebraska is sitting at the top conference after taking down both Indiana and Maryland. I can see beating Indiana because you never know what old walking Tom is going to have this team do but Maryland is an entirely different ballgame. I wonder if Miles is still tweeting away..

scUM loses to Illinois by 16 :slappy:
They might be in worse shape than us. Their defense is an abortion.

mgoblog makes the first "hotseat" mention for Beilein...

I've found the questioning of John Beilein's job security to be somewhere between reactionary and absurd for much of this season. With the defense looking unfixable even after the offseason hire of Billy Donlon, however, it's time to at least bring up the discussion, one that will only grow louder if the team continues to resemble the one that sleepwalked through tonight's game. It's a shocking development for a coach who resurrected the program, made a national title game, and won his second Big Ten title only three years ago. Beilein's offensive prowess is unquestionable; his recruiting and defensive coaching may lead to a change sooner than anyone could've reasonably expected not so long ago.
