Fantasy 2016 BPCFFB II Season Thread

Welp. Fuck Josh Rosen. Browning's two biggest outings have now been wasted while Rosen had the more favorable matchup, and still failed miserably at outperforming Browning.

So anyone that needs a QB, Rosen is on the wire! 8D

@LostLassie ....you remember how I laughed when you picked Dunn and then said it was going to sting even more when you beat me? Yeah....enjoy.

To start with, game isn't over yet. I'm not very lucky, and your UCLA guy just might set some kind of world record scoring.

Secondly, is there any point in my explaining that I didn't actually PICK Dunn? Would anyone believe me anyway? It's a long story. But, he was in my queue from when I first signed up for the league, and the auto function pulled him up. I'd just refreshed my screen and when it came back up, my turn was running. Leonard Fournette was still showing on my screen and I was clicking on him. But, the system was running behind, and he'd just been picked before me. I thought I drafted him.

At first, I thought you guys were teasing me because you considered it a bad idea to draft someone who had an injury. Then, a few minutes later, I looked at my roster and was wtf? Where's my guy? But, it's still my fault for not remembering I'd put Dunn in there because I did see the posts about him getting booted earlier that week, but didn't make the connection that I needed to clean up my auto pick selections.

Anyway, I've done enough damage to myself already this year by repeatedly leaving a bucketful of points on my bench--only malfunctioning device to blame there is my own brain (and my utter lack of any real understanding of how football works).

I do feel lucky to have stumbled on that kid Flowers, though. He's been a treasure. He's lucky I haven't broken one of his bones by playing him...so far...because I've been a football version of Typhoid Mary to someone on my roster practically every single game until tonight (KNOCK WOOD).

So...anything else interesting going on in college ball tonight? No big games or anything, huh?

So I had accepted failure in this league, checking in to fix the lineups but generally having no hope, only to see that I'm suddenly in 4th, with my top picks being almost entirely worthless (DeShaun's recent competent efforts not withstanding). How did that happen?!

Flowers left the fourth quarter of Friday's game against Temple with a hamstring injury, the Associated Press reports.

A-aa-and now I broke my quarterback.

Like fine Swiss clockwork. Kiss of Mother-Lovin' Death.

image.jpeg Sums up CFFB perfectly.

Also, TOTALLY paused at "Squally Canada" for several seconds before realizing that was an actual person. Lovely name.

Sounds more like a weather report.

Gotta say, just LOVE the way teams/coaches keep secrets about injuries until five minutes before the game. They've played "gotcha" with me more times this season than I can count.

I really feel bad about cursing Flowers. Don't know anything bad about him, and he plays his heart out. Which is about the only thing that hasn't been broken on one of my players this year.

I'm only "competitive" right now because I got to play 2 teams that dont set their lineups

Looking at my top 5 draft picks

1st round - Chad Kelly - Mediocre, ranks 20th for QB PPG, Eric Dungey who I took in the 9th round has outperformed him coming in at 14th currently

2nd round - Justin Stockton Texas Tech RB. Cut, absolutely worthless 8.57 Points per game

3rd round - Matthew Dayes NC State RB, decent enough has put up 14+ points in all but 1 game

4th round - Jahad Thomas Temple RB, by far my best early pick, has scored 20 in every game

5th Round - Arkeel Newsome Uconn RB, was a rock on my team, started out awful so I cut him.....now he's suddenly decided to be decent and someone else nabbed him.

My first 2 WRs taken have also been pretty bad. Once again staying alive via free agent pickups and matchup plays.

Venting here: So sick of Tom Herman's shit--we're done. At least the third time this year he's waited until one second before the game starts to pull a player.

He can go fuck himself. Oh, wait! Too late! He already has. On his way to losing the third out of the last four games.

Guess those late night phone calls from Texas have him too fatigued from sleep deprivation to coach his current team. Better watch it, Tommy. You drop many more games, Texas just might get themselves a new unlisted number.
