Is it just me or the some what unwarranted over hyping of the buckeyes before the combine has lead to everyone (Media and fans) being disappointed even if its right where the scouts/NFL thought they would be?
Yup. Virtually everyone is confirming themselves:

Jones - 4.83 - about right. Never been a burner but can move well for his size.

Elliott - pretty good speed, not ludicrous - 4.47

Braxton - quick as lightning, not a burner - 4.5 with stellar agility timing (cones, shuttle, etc)

Marshall - not sure why he left, never been a burner, rough times, 4.60.

Thomas - possession guy with good first step - 4.57 but a 10'6" broad jump. That time confirms who he is and doesn't bury him, but simpletons looking for OMG!speed are knocking him for it. It takes a special level of stupid to expect anything lower.

Bosa - bashed all week for lack of explosion. This was hardly unexpected and he's right there with most of the DL today. A competent franchise will be dancing for weeks when the Al Davis emulators draft a track guy.

Washington - 5.17 - pretty much spot on (frankly it could have been lower in my opinion).

Perry isn't going to run that well.

The only other guy besides Elliott who should have a really good time is Lee (until we reach DBs).

Eze is about dead on imo and confirms who he is. A downhill guy that has excellent speed and weight/power combination.
Thomas is similarly spot on. 4.56 isn't blowing anyone's socks off, but confirms everything.
I expected Braxton to be faster than Eze. I'm not sure it matters though. There's plenty of tape showing his speed in pads, and the knock will still be that he'll need some more work at the position.
Jalin needed to be faster as a slot guy imo. Not like he has amazing production. Kinda dampens the suggestion that he could be a RB. Is he risking UDFA at this point? Does special teams keep him in the mix?
Apple just raised his stock, making money.

It is interesting though that as underwhelming as WR 40s were, their 20yd shuttle times set the mark.
Braxton tied first at 4.07 (with Fuller) -- he also led the entire combine at the 60yd shuttle.
Thomas and Jalin tied 4th with 4.13

With those results I wondered if this isn't some reflection on what Ohio State does as a program... pattern emerging...
Vannett was 3rd for TEs in 20 and 60yd shuttles
As much shit as Bosa is taking for his 40... 2nd in 20yd shuttle
Lee was fastest LB and 3rd at shuttle. Looks like Perry didn't do the shuttle.
Powell was 5th for safeties (2nd fastest 40). Apple didn't do the shuttle.

I have this thing about bench presses...
Dunno why everyone doesn't do way way more than they do

mid 30s is big time.. but 20-25 should almost be a given unless you're a QB or under 190 lbs
