2016 NFL Draft (April 28-April 30, 2016)

I like messing with draft simulators this time of year. Tried one, and decided to have the Browns throw everyone a curve. Laughably, Zeke Elliott was still on the board at the end of the 1st round and one thing led to another.

2: R1P2
DE JOEY BOSA
OHIO STATE

32: R2P1
RB EZEKIEL ELLIOTT
OHIO STATE

65: R3P2
TE NICK VANNETT
OHIO STATE

99: R4P1
QB CARDALE JONES
OHIO STATE

I like how that says R1P2 Joey Bosa.....which really should be "Oh, you're going to Cleveland? RIP to Joey Bosa".

Five Buckeyes (Bosa, Elliott, Lee, Decker, and Apple), along with Coach Meyer, have accepted invites from the NFL to attend the draft.

Looks like Wentz or Goff to the Rams.

Details of trade:

Tennessee gets: Rams 2016 first-round pick (#15), two 2016 second-round picks, a 2016 third-round pick, a 2017 first-round pick, and a 2017 third-round pick.

Rams get: Titans 2016 first pick (#1), Titans 2016 fourth-round pick, and Titans 2016 sixth-round pick.

If the Browns were considering a trade down, this certainly hurts their chances of finding a trading partner.

It obviously also hurts their chances of getting their franchise quarterback, if that was what they are targeting with their #2 overall pick.

I don't know that it hurts them...if Phily or SF are desperate, they now know that one QB is going off the board already.

Tennessee is sitting pretty in this deep draft :

1 (15)
2
2
2
3
3
5
7
Lost their 4, 6 (and #1 ovr)

And probably 1 if not 2 pretty early first round slots next year.

Conversely, everything is riding on Wentz for LA. Fortunately they didn't go full Dan Snyder with their qb maneuvering, but moving up 14 spots is always going to hurt.
