2016 NFL Season (Official Thread)

I would think Luck would like to not be running for his life... Fleener for that price... :slappy:
It never ceases to amaze me how the cost of doing business in Free Agency just keeps going beyond reason. Not so much the salaries, but the years & guarantees they seemingly give out like handouts. At the end of the day though, unless it's your team doing dumb business, you gotta respect these guys getting theirs.

Dwayne Allen will fill in just fine. Better blocker, more athleticism passing. He needs to and will be way more involved in the offense now that it's his #1 spot at TE.
He's been oft-injured since coming into the league, no? With them axing Andre Johnson, that should also open up more opportunities for Moncrief as well. Phillip Dorsett on the other hand...

Yeah.. the more i look at these deals, I think the browns could have made some offers and not gone quite as high but kept some of there own...I'm glad they aren't being uber stupid.... however having said that.. its the Browns.

There's no sense in spending $ just to spend it & make fans happy. Free Agency is always going to come with inflated prices, but they definitely lost some crucial pieces. Losing OL is always a big blow to an offense, but with a new man in charge, changes are just a part of the process.

Luck has to be livid about this, but a nice replacement for Ben Watson.

True. He hasn't lived up to his potential and certainly hadn't proven to be worth the ridiculous deal he got this off-season, but there are high expectations for him in Indy. He's also a great team guy and personality around the city.

Interesting that the Stanford-heavy Colts are slowing disbanding- Pep Hamilton (OC), Griff Whalen (WR, fake-punt QB extraordinaire), and now Fleener (TE). Still got that one guy at QB though...

So they...DON'T want the great Coleen Kaepernick. Good lord, that's one less team to save the Browns from doing something really stupid.
Word is the only hold up is restructuring Kaep's contract. Draft pick compensation for the trade seems to be agreed upon.
