According to Vegas.....there is a chance. Be it a 150/1 one

http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-...odds-to-win-2018-mens-basketball-championship

Bovada on Wendnesday released opening odds for the 2018 men's basketball championship. The usual suspects, Kentucky (9/1), North Carolina (12/1), and Duke (14/1) led the list with 2017 runner-up Gonzaga also at 14/1.

Ohio State's odds checked-in at 150/1 to win the title, below in-state rivals Xavier (66/1) and Cincinnati (75-1) but ahead of Dayton (250/1).

Michigan and Michigan State tied for the highest-rated Big Ten teams, with 20/1 odds. Indiana, which just hired Dayton's Archie Miller, appeared 22/1.

Those odds are better than the ones listed here...

Edit: They could be worse odds, depending on how you look at it. If you are high on the Bucks (and maybe something else you wanna pass my way,) then maybe the odds at the Westgate (300-1) are just what you're looking for.

The number one player in the country, Michael Porter Jr., committed to Missouri. He's a 6'9" badass and we never even heard his name when talking about our Buckeyes. Maybe we don't get him but we sure as hell can offer more than Missouri to a student-athlete.

MIzzo just hired the guy he was committed to at Cal... this is about coaches and connections... I'm not even sure where his dad is at this time he might be on Mizzo's staff with the new coach

His father, Cuonzo Martin, who used to be the HC at Tennessee and Cal is now an assistant coach at Missouri. He used to play at Purdue. The kid's aunt is HC for the women's program at Missouri and he went to school in Missouri before his father got the assistant's job at Washington. He will be a one and done player plus he has a brother who is trying to reclassify and join him at Missouri. I do not understand why some people would even think that we have a shot at someone like this whose relatives are coaching at a school that a recruit commits to.

Those rankings are ridiculous. No way that Minnesota does not finish in the top 2-3 of the Big Ten next year if they do not win it all. They do not lose anyone. Indiana is also rated pretty highly and two of their best players might not even return next season.

I absolutely do not see us finishing 10th in the conference. I would say around middle of the pack and it is way too early to predict where other teams are going to finish without knowing which underclassmen are going to declare for the NBA.

Didnt know the family situation. Was more looking at the fact that I've never even seen his name on this board rather than the fact that we aren't signing him. You make zero percent of the shots you do not take.

unlike football recruiting we did not follow basketball recruiting that closely. I think we have probably made offers to some guys that have not been mentioned on this board..

To clarify: Cuonzo Martin is Mizzou's new head coach, and he hired Porter's father, who was an assistant at Washington and formerly an assistant for the Mizzou women's team.

Well, I gotta say, a healthy KBD and no Loving gives me some hope for next year. Potter, Jackson, and Wesson might show some improvements. Put me down for an early prognostication of 6th or 7th in the B1G. Scarlet-colored glasses....:pimp: In all honesty, if we get a solid coaching job and some sound tinkering, this team has the makeup to be ranked again. They really need some coaching, though. As we all can see, they are lost out there. Maybe Lyle can thrive as a two and Potter thrive as a 4? Pretty sure Matta is done if they miss the NCAA's for a third time in a row, and fourth time in his tenure.
