Dakich is a 6-2 combo guard who has done little other than play as a healthy body for scrimmages. Don't know why he likes Ohio State so much more than UM (:banger:), but his career suggests he's not going to get significant minutes in Columbus, either. He averaged 14/5/5 in HS his junior and senior years at Zionsville IN.

I always will have a soft spot for Dan Dakich, because he drove Ron Lewis to transfer from BG.

Andrew Dakich, not gonna lie, found him annoying at UM. Hopefully his antics on the bench will not annoy me anymore. But at least he gives them another practice body. Hopefully he is not relied on much in games, or else OSU is in big trouble.

I don't doubt the move makes sense for both parties. OSU was not going to find much to add to the team for this season at this time, had 4 spots open, they weren't going to fill all of them with better players, & needed practice bodies at least. Dakich goes into a situation where he could see the court some and he is still in the B1G. And presumably OSU has the graduate degree he wants to start. I don't think it is nearly as big a deal as it would be in football.

That kid looks pretty darn good for a walk-on. OSU has had scholarship guards that couldn't dribble like that. Best walk-on for OSU hoops since Funderburke, I'm calling it now.

Chris did have a pretty good walk-on turned scholarship starter play for him at Butler in Alex Barlow. It is a nice change for a walk-on at OSU to be a true possibility for a future scholarship player (based on merit) instead of walk-ons always being pigeon-holed as a glorified victory cigar. Looks like Chris is doing a good job of exploring all of the available options to build the team as well as possible, and I like it.
