butler lost to texas. the collision between ho1tmann and his former team appears all the more likely.
Hol1tmann. "No I do not. I do not want to play Butler. No. That would be … if you could talk about worse-case scenario, that’s at the top of my list there. I’ve got a lot of appreciation for that program and those guys. And I want to see us do well. It would be such a conflicted feeling. I’ve been asked that a few times from a few people.”

Alabama plays 10-plus minutes with 3 players after ejections, fouls, injury

And then there were three.

Alabama was forced to finish its game against Minnesota at the Barclays Center Classic in Brooklyn on Saturday with just three players after its entire bench was ejected following a wild scuffle and then two of its remaining five players departed due to fouls and an injury.

Collin Sexton, Galin Smith and Riley Norris played the final 10:41 for the No. 25 Crimson Tide, who cut their deficit to three (83-80) with 1:32 to play before losing to the No. 14 Golden Gophers 89-84.

"That was one of the most bizarre things I've ever been a part of," Jordan Murphy said after he scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Minnesota.

Yeah, they are dismantling a good Tarheel team, but really, what difference does it make? I'm so dejected after that stupid Butler ending, I am really not holding out much hope for the Holtmann era anymore. He's just a blah coach with a blah personality...he'll grab a couple of good players and make a little bit of noise. :pissed2: Yes, I understand what he's up against, but still....these guys NEEDED that win. Total failure.

it was pretty bad. almost couldn't believe they gave it away like that. feels like some of these players have a bad juju they can't shake, but the new coaches certainly didn't help them any this game. a major failure all around.

Habanero is a noted Holtmann skeptic on here. A horrible collapse from the team today is the perfect fuel for his fire.

I will just say, for all our sakes, we better hope Holtmann pans out. Because with his contract and the situation he inherited, he is not getting canned any time soon, so if he doesn't work out, the path back to relevance for this program will be a MUCH longer one than any of us want.

OSU basketball is like many of these delusional SEC football jobs, many think it's better than it is.
