CFB Weekly Thread 2017 CFB Week 10 Open Thread

If Wisconsin goes 13-0 I hope they get in. Don't want an unbeaten B1G team left out - not good for the conference, and we're a member of it.

I don't want to see two SEC teams in it. I'm just guessing if Georgia and Alabama are unbeaten going to the SEC title game, they'll both get in because S-E-C! S-E-C!

I hear you. But I also don't want to see us get bitch slapped for a 3rd year in a row. And I imagine Wisconsin would get obliterated.

Two SEC teams is fucking ridiculous. It's part of the reason they created the playoffs. Who wants to watch the same 2 teams play twice in one season? I know there's a good chance of this happening.... especially now. But I hate that idea. I also REALLY hope they keep out either Bama or Clemson or both. Christ, there's a chance we'd watch that same damn game again?! No thanks.

I will NEVER root for ND under any circumstances. I hope they miss the CFP in excruciating fashion.

If Miami runs the table they'll be in it. That's a big "if", though. Bama isn't going to be left out, barring a couple of surprising upsets.

I think Bama AND Georgia will get in, along with ND. If Miami goes undefeated I think they're in as well, and the Big XII will throw a fit again.

EDIT: Upon further reflection, what I described is not possible. If Miami goes undefeated, ND will be fucked. I have to say, I'd be okay with that.

I don't know why the BIG12 even created a conference championship. I mean, I understand that they felt like it was what kept them out in the past. But just like us in the end it's probably going to hurt them more than help them. I have thought that from the very beginning... the BIG12 will cannibalize itself. Thank fucking God. No one wants to see Baker Mayfield in there. I'm guessing even his teammates hate him.

I do wonder if the committee will treat Alabama-Georgia in the SEC Championship Game as a de facto play-in game.

I think a lot of that depends on what else is going on. PAC has imploded. B1G East has imploded. BXII is in the process... Miami, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin are the x factors now. Especially your Badgers...

Current summary in no particular order:
- at least winner Bama / Georgia (SEC CG)
- Winner Miami / Clemson (ACC CG)
- ND must defeat Miami
- OU if they win out
- Wisconsin staying undefeated
- UW and TCU with outside shots

In short, I think 2nd SEC team needs 1 of the following to happen:
- Only 1 from ACC/ND
- Wisconsin loss
- OU loss

Even then, Wisconsin could join the list of "distant outside shots". We'd find out if committee really decides that the SEC CG is meaningless and sets up a replay... or if they'd put in a 1-loss that hasn't really earned a place w/ schedule or eye test... but casts a wider "National" net (Washington more likely?)
