CFB Weekly Thread 2017 CFB Week 12 Open Thread

ND is irrelevant. Try not to look at the CFP as a poll. They haven't operated like one. They look at your entire schedule each week, which is why fans lose it when their team wins and yet drops. We're used to "poll logic" where once you've been rewarded for that perceived big win in September there's never a correction when that ranked-at-the-time team ends up going 4-8. The CFP folks have been making such corrections.

If we win out and ND wins out, they ain't getting in ahead of us.

I wasn't really worried about ND getting in over us really. I would, however, like to see their fanbase lose their shit if they drop despite winning.

That being said, thank you for letting me know about the whole ranking situation as a whole. Ppl say things like.....tOSU beat PSU therefore we beat a #2 team. However, this logic never made sense to me as PSU has since dropped to #10.

The ND fans I know have kind of given up on the CFP after last week, but I'm sure there are plenty of domers out there who will lose their shit.

That announcer sounds like he needs a Valium drip.

In all seriousness, that's an incredible clip. Pretty sure I've seen it before but it's quite something.

Funny thing is, a Cal guy's knee is clearly down before one of the laterals. So the refs would have to overturn the TD...but would they? There would be carnage if that call was made minutes after the play. Either way, Twitter would explode.

Didn't watch a lick of football all day. I see Wiscy took care of business. Any good Harbaugh meltdowns?

And damn, Minnesota. Every time I think they've started to turn the corner and are ready to become a worthy conference member, they slide right back into being Gopher.

Interesting....reminds me of the OKie State game early last season in when Central Michigan threw that last minute TD because they were given one last play even though they weren't supposed to. OK State lost and found out the hard way taking a knee works best in the last few seconds of a game.

You didn't miss much. In fact, after the UVA Cryami game I sort of wish I'd done the same.

Yet I'm still here. A slave to the evil mistress that is college football.

I posted this in Simple Jim's thread, but it's too good not to share everywhere. The bloom sure seems to be off the Harbrau rose...

I've been reading this off and on all evening.
