CFB Weekly Thread 2017 CFB Week 6 Open Thread

Who the fuck cares about how we look on the "national stage"? If we deserve to go to the Playoffs, we'll go. If not, we go in 1, 2 years. As far as I'm concerned Oklahoma and esp Baker Mayfield were added as #4 on my shit list 4 weeks ago. I would relish in their loss just as I would with scUM, PSU and Clemson (in that order).

EDIT:

And, if we don't beat PSU or scUM it won't matter if we lost to OU because it would keep us from going to the B1G anyway.

I honestly can't believe we lost to OU...

Their offense is dangerous but their defense is straight trash. TRASH.
They had all summer to prepare for us. We had to prepare for Indy that the last couple of years has given us fits. It was a perfect storm for them and i will not go into the reasons as it has been covered in game thread. If we get a chance to play them again I would like to believe the results will be vastly different.

I'm more angry at the fact that Iowa fucking State scored more points than the Buckeyes did against this Sooner team.

It seems kinda the opposite of last year where we looked all world against Oklahoma but looked meh most of the rest of the season and Oklahoma appeared to improve greatly throughout the season. Though we won't know till PSU if we really have improved all that much or it's playing bad teams.

That coupled with having 3 new starters in the secondary against a tremendous QB... just too bad it wasn't week 3 or even game 1

Is it me or does an OU player seem to get an "injury" late whenever they're in a tight game only to get up, walk off and come back on?

At one point, I believe even one of the announcers called this as fishy....

EDIT: I'm only mentioning this as it's come up I think twice in the last 2 weeks.
