This season does have a very 2007 feel to it right now. And if that is true, may as well prepare for an eight team playoff because the handwringing will be intense when we're all parsing two loss teams for playoff spots.

Either way it won't matter much, if we win out we're in and if we pull off the W against Ped we should be sitting top 4 again. TCU is typical B12 fool's gold and Wisky had their hands full with Purdue.

I sure as f* hope Urban has this team in check during the bye and everyone stays focused and sharp, and especially doesn't do any stupid shit that would get themselves hurt or suspended for the next game. A bye before a huge game can be a blessing or curse depending on how it's managed.

I think AP Poll looks like this:

    1. Alabama
    2. Penn State
    3. Georgia
    4. TCU
    5. Ohio State
    6. Wisconsin
    7. Miami
    8. Oklahoma

IF OSU finishes as the 1 loss B1G champ they are in the playoffs

if they don't then they won't

it's really pretty simple and there is no need to worry about the rest

I don't care what they do, it could never be as bad as a Herbstreit or Mowans commentary.

The Domers play five teams currently ranked:

    #3 Georgia (L 20-19, home)
    #7 Miami (Fl)
    #17 North Carolina State
    #21 Michigan State (W 38-18, road)
    #22 Stanford

We also play five teams currently ranked:

    #2 Penn State
#5 Wisconsin (if they win out their regular season and play us in the CCG)
    #12 Oklahoma (L 31-16, home)
    #15 Michigan
    #21 Michigan State

Right now, they do have the "better loss". But, provided we win out and are conference champs (and beat Sparty at least almost as bad as the Domers did), they I think we get the nod.

    This right here...

Being lost in all this is the fact that Illinois lost to Rutgers. By 11. At home.

Holy smokes is that program in shambles.
