Barrett being the first 3-time captain in program history says a lot about him. I'd obviously like to see a national title this year for many reasons, but one of the main ones would be so J.T. can leave with the credit he deserves. He's made a couple dumb decisions off the field but on the field he's been about as solid as they come. Dealing with injuries, an awkward-to-say-the-least QB competition, questionable-at-best coaching, criticism from fans, etc, he's always produced and battled and won at a high level on the field.

I think the LT, which is also our other best O lineman is a great leader and has been more important to our success, and will be more important to our success. Nothing against Sam, but you agree with every other choice. I'm entitled to my opinion. 2 posts about a kid isn't a "hard on" for him... Sorry if you were offended

Hardly offended... but a couple shots over the bow of a kid who's done as much as Sam seems a bit off. And I'm certainly not the one to be voting on captains... so I take them as they come. There's a reason for who's selected, right?

My post on this thread had nothing to do with Sam personally. I'm simply stating, from the guys listed as captains(and congratulations to them all), the only one I would think of replacing would be Sam. And That would be in favor of Jamarco, as I feel he's one of the top 5 most important players on this team. Our team is only NC ready if our O line is elite, and protects JT. Nothing against Sam, just, IMO, I felt Jamarco deserved it as well. No worries
