Finebaum is three calls in and his usual train wreck is glowingly train wreckish today :slappy::slappy::slappy:

One Bammer fan that was like, "I went into work today."
One ACC guy that was like, "You got your arse handed to you, didn'tja."
One Bammer fan that was like, "You say sommmin to Saban, he'll smack the taste straight outta yer mouth."

Oh absolutely. All I’m saying is that nothing I saw last night suggested to me that those two teams wouldn’t beat us. Those teams belonged in the playoffs and I believe either would have steamrolled our porous defense.

Yeah, there is not perfect solution today for getting 4 teams in.

I'll give Clemson the edge, but I didn't see anything from Bama to indicate that they could slow down Haskins one bit. Game would have been high scoring, for sure, but I'd give the Buckeyes a fighting chance.

This SEC bullshit has become exactly like politics today. People cling their beliefs and when presented with evidence contradicting them they deflect, deny or try to turn it around. Then they double-down.

Fucking SECLogic: "________ is great because they play in the SEC!". Why is the SEC great? "________ plays in it!!"

While I despise Clem's Son I shed not one tear for Alabama or their damned conference. Their 6-6 record in the bowls is quite dominant, especially because they were favored in 10 of them.

Meanwhile, the B1G limps home again with a 5-4 record in the bowls (only favored in 3 of them)

How will ESEC!SEC!SEC!PN spin it? It will be creative I'm sure.
SEC doesn't lose, they just don't show up. So SEC actually went 6-0*.

I don’t believe for one second that our defense would stop Alabama’s run game at all. Meanwhile, as we saw with Washington, we can occasionally be slowed. We saw whst Alabama did Against Oklahoma. I see no reason to why things would work out differently. Meanwhile, Haskins is not a mobile quarterback in the same sense at Murray and even Lawrence is more shifty than Haskins. I understand that this is an Ohio State board, but if you take the scarlet covered glasses off there’s no real reason to expect a Buckeye W against Bama.

Apparently Nike was REALLY hoping for a Texas Longhorns title run. These might be the most awful championship shirts ever.

Just overheard. "This was just an off night for Alabama. It isn't indicative of how good they really are." Uhhhh huh. LOL!

Oh the double standards....
It was an off night for Bama because they weren’t prepared. That’s the worst type of off night. Athletes made physical plays, but often weren’t in the right places. Bama for beat being dumb.

Clemson made the physical plays and played smart as well. They won every play with importance in the game. That’s why the score was so lopsided even though the stats were not.

I’ve seen Saban outcoached a few times, but never to that level. He was completely dominated.
