2018-2019 Ohio State Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

Buckeyes won their game today something like 91-63 against Valencia.

Washington lead all scorers with 19 points, 7 for 10 from the field, 3 for 3 from international distance. Not trying to read much into this very early pre-season stuff but based on our offensive need and the fact that practices have shown him to be the main option at back-up PG, definitely seems like he's going to be in the rotation this season.

obviously don't have a clue what kind of talent the catalan all-stars return, but last year they nearly beat a very good tennessee team (86-79) and played somewhat well against a decent utah team (85-70). as ho1tmann said, thursday's game will be a big step up from the competition that the team has faced so far. can't remember the exact wording, but he was pretty blunt that the first two teams were not at all good.

BARCELONA–The Ohio State men’s basketball team won its third and final game of an 11-day trip through Spain with a 68-66 win Thursday against the Catalan All-Stars.

Kaleb Wesson led all scorers with 20 points and 10 rebounds followed by a 13-point effort from C.J. Jackson in the come-from-behind victory. Jackson also added five steals and five rebounds.

The Wesson brothers accounted for 19 of Ohio State’s 47 rebounds in the game. Andre Wesson added nine boards to go with seven points.

Catalan jumped out to a 15-point lead early behind hot shooting and several Ohio State turnovers. The Buckeyes battled back with defense and Kaleb Wesson’s inside scoring to fend off the All-Stars in the northern mountains of Spain.

The Buckeyes have one more day in Barcelona before returning to Columbus Saturday.

It’s the final day of an 11-day trip to Spain for the Ohio State men’s basketball team. The Buckeyes took a walking tour in the morning of a church commissioned in 1883 and still under construction today. The team returned to the hotel in the early afternoon and will have the rest of the day to explore Barcelona.

An organized farewell dinner on the beach is planned for the evening.

The team will return to Columbus Saturday after winning all three games it played in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona.
