2018 NCAA Basketball Tournament Discussion (Official Thread)

The last time St. Bonaventure won an NCAA tournament game Bob Lanier led them to the Final Four where they ran into Artis Gilmore's Jacksonville Dolphins.

Me thinks they'll give Fla all they can handle Thursday night. Love how they play

Having to travel then play the next day sucks, but heaven forbid we get rid of 4 at large berths and just have a 64 team field. Those 9th place teams from the SEC, PAC 12, and ACC deserve their shot. :roll1:

Was thinking about how I don't like the First Four nonsense, but yet, I love college basketball and they are a heck of an appetizer to the main course. Cool to see those kids celebrate too. Will be interesting how they come out on Thursday night. Carry the momentum or carry tired legs.

virginia just announced that de'andre hunter is out for the tournament with a broken wrist. though not a starter, this is a massive loss. hate to see it, too. they were going to be my pick for a title. bennett's team has played some of the purest basketball i've seen in a long time.
they were my pick also:wink: and I am sticking with them. I know that Hunter is a big loss but they still will be tough defensively which does not go away.

i hope you prove me wrong, but i just don't see them winning a title without hunter. it's like virginia losing a player of the caliber of lighty during his junior and senior seasons. like lighty, hunter could guard pretty much every position and was their most dynamic scorer. moreover, he got better as the season progressed.

it's really too bad. watching uva play unc was like watching my idea of college basketball perfection. they're not a team of great talent and physical dominance, but they're a team of ideal cohesion with every player knowing exactly his role and his responsibility.

Don't feel too bad for them. They blow it on their own come tournament time every year anyways. This just gives them a better excuse than usual.
