2018 Week 2 CFB Open Thread

If we don't win our division that's a big failure

With out roster it would be a failure regardless of how good or bad the rest of the division is playing.

Wonder who is doing these schedules and thinks "Why not a schedule a kick-off for when our players normally go to bed?"

Not saying the time is the reason Sparty crapped the bed, but it definitely isn't an advantage to travel across the country and start in the middle of the night.

B1G can't win in Arizona outside of the postseason... Don't know why you would even schedule that game if you were the AD. Stupid.

OSU went out there and best Arizona is '00 iirc

OSU has also (from my sometimes faulty memory) beaten Fresno State (maybe '00 as well?), Washington ('07) and Cal ('13). They played but lost to UCLA('01) and USC ('08).

Point being, It's good exposure for west coast recruiting, a generally good opponent for a home and home and a fun trip for the fan base if you are good enough to pack up your gear and go beat people.

OSU can do that, most of the rest of the B1G cannot.

Yeah, good teams should find a way to win, but those Arizona games are traps, because they can really only play night games.
