2018 Week 3 CFB Open Thread

Clemson will likely get in without having played a ranked team until their CCG and absolutely no one will question it.

I don't care how bad the B1G is. Roll all of these sad fucks and everything will be fine.

But lose to just one of them--even at Rhythmic Slapping Valley--and they'll go to great lengths to rationalize putting a one loss Notre Dame or second SEC team in ahead of us.

We will get some good insight today, imo, about the respect, or lack thereof, for OSU in the media polls.

See how far they drop TCU for losing to OSU and contrast it with the no drop T A&M received after losing to Clemson.

I will also be shocked if they drop Auburn more than 2 spots

ND is going to struggle and win close games against a dog shit schedule but keep moving up

OSU has zero loss tolerance this year given how bad the B1G is and the schedules of ND and Clemson.

Unfortunately, I agree. A one loss Ohio State gets left out in favor of a 1-loss Clemson, Notre Dame or second SEC team. And if tsun and the pedsters crap the bed, it'll probably be a toss-up between us and 1-loss Stanford/UW and Oklahoma. As much as it pains me to say so, we kind of need tsun and the pedsters to have good seasons. Wiscy is done. There's no bouncing back from losing to a mediocre byu team at home.

Fortunately, media polls mean very little unless the CFP committee are getting their insight from them (which would be pretty lazy).

Further, a one loss anybody but Notre Dame will have to face the conference’s #2 in a CCG.

Notre Dame really doesnt look like a very great team, fortunately their schedule looks a lot weaker now than it did in the preseason.

Stanford and Va Tech are pretty much their only serious opponents the rest of the year.

Florida State and USC are hot garbage.

We can only hope they lose to Stanford and Va Tech
