2018 Week 4 CFB Open Thread

Send Sparty west, and bring Purdue back over. Removes a bit of dog eat dog in the East and gives Wiscy a bit more to chew on.

Get rid of Maryland and Rutgers, fuck the divisions, play a round robin and one OOC warm up and crown a real champion.

Yeah, I know. It'll never happen. Super conferences are about "championship" games and money.

So, is Wisconsin’s goal to see how many times they can lose in the Big Ten Championship? Because the CFP is out of the question already and they’re becoming an official laughing stock in Indy. What is it now, they’ve lost 5 of the last 6 or 6 of the last 7? LOL.

2-0 of three possible appearances from the Leaders division.

0-3 of four possible appearances from the West division.

Herm Edwards gets more credit for not being a dumbass with timeout management than any college coach in the country.

He manages the game as well as 80% of the arm chair coaches here on BP and announcers gush over how “big time” he is.

To those wanting a shake up in how the divisions are composed, just remember the Legends/Leaders horse abortion we had to put up with. I personally could give a shit who wins the West, or even if it's a competitive division or not...

N’Keal Harry just retreated to his own 5 to field a punt, then ran backwards nearly into the end zone, and wound up returning it to the ASU 45.

Dumb play, but dude is a special athlete. Going to be a star in the league.

ASU going to lose to #10 Washington on the road 20-27 and fall to 2-2. Sparkys record is really irrelevant, this is a better product than anything Todd Graham ever put on the field.

Sorry I ever laughed at the hire, Herm. Hat tip.

I doubt Edwards will recruit well over any period so there’s no need to apologize. They won’t be competitive for long this year and as soon as they are using Edwards recruits they will be worse.

I don’t know. Jury will be out for awhile, but I feel like Herm would kill it with parents in the living room. He’s got charisma for days.

The last time Kentucky was ranked in the Top 25 was 2007. Andre Woodson was their QB and they beat #1 LSU in 3 OTs, which cleared a path for Ohio State to move to #1 in Week 7.

UK probably deserves to be in the top 25, but it really annoys me that Miss State was #14. They're noting more than a middling SEC team that will probably go 7-6 or 8-5. Other than Tebow lite, did they have a lot returning or something?

The divisions are perfect. Pay no attention to the clueless fans who don't understand that all our rivalries are geographical. Especially the PSU fan who doesn't seem to get that the addition of Rutgers and Maryland wasn't just for the TV markets but also to give them some east coast rivals. Something JoePed was clamoring for for years.
