2018 Week 5 CFB Open Thread

That's debatable.

Probably... I'm posting hyperbole... but I'll put this out there.

Fitz actually has to deal with the academic restrictions that DFBIA always imagines they're dealing with (just pretend that Kinesiology program doesn't exist).
Northwestern will never recruit on Michigan's level, have their facilities, attract assistants, etc.
Despite those significant disadvantages, he's had about the same amount of success as Harbaugh in the conference. Every couple years he coaches up a group of borderline 2-3 star kids into a pretty decent team. Harbaugh gets the same results with 4 and 5 star kids... can't find a single QB on his own.

Where exactly does Harbaugh fall in coach rankings in the B1G? I'd wager it's not in the top half.

I think you are seriously underestimating the media desire to have two SEC teams and Clemson in the fucker.

I mean they haven't been even a little bit subtle about it.

I’ll be surprised if they beat LSU and Auburn. Of course, that means LSU and Auburn will be in the Top 4 because SEC.. But I think Alabama is the only SEC team making the playoff.

I don’t even know how overrated the talent is...but this coaching staff couldn’t get a .220 average out of Ty Cobb

I'd say their talent is about what their recruiting rankings said they would be.

A few top shelf guys (who take plays off) surrounded by a bunch of guys who aren't any better than the rest of the middle of the road B1G talent.

Harbaugh has 5 star kids?

I agree with the post, though.

I agree but Notre Dame can even if they keep winning ugly.

That is Disney's mouse jizz fest- 2 SEC, Clemson and ND
Shit, if it comes down to 2 SEC teams, Notre Dame, Clemson, and Ohio State, I think Clemson gets held out this year. That garbage SOS can’t be ignored this year, in the event of 5 teams contending for 4 spots.

If Aggy was still in the BXII, I think you'd be on point... but now that they're SECSECSEC .... I'm not so sure.
In the event Clemson, Notre Dame, and Ohio State make it undefeated... I think SEC only gets 1 team in.
Stanford and Oklahoma may weigh in too... but I doubt they make it unscathed (and obviously Stanford has a play-in tonight).
