2018 Week 7 CFB Open Thread

Pitt is always the rustiest knife in the block, yet they get someone annually.

I'd hate to see what taking wins for granted and reveling in the negative would look like if this is enjoyment.

Is what I said wrong?

I notice that the team played poorly and now you think I'm not enjoying it because obviously that's the only thought in my mind?

And again, to reiterate, if Ohio State plays badly they will get beat by a good team. But if they play well, they can win every game.

I don’t get the point of being so fucking pessismistic about it.

It’s especislky annoying because if Ohio State does drop a game we’ll no doubt have plenty saying “I told you so.”

Well, no fucking shit, bad stuff happens in most years, thus Ohio State not winning a national championship every single season.

Being negative is the easy way out, because you’re almost always right... but it still gets to be too much on a consistent basis.

Right? It didn’t even start until the Iowa game last year (we’ll, outside of some of the game threads).

I feel like Dante in Clerks... ‘I’m not even supposed to be here today.’

USC is playing, their QB has two INTs in the 1st quarter, and you Negative Nancies are still going on about the OSU game in here?

WTF is wrong with you? There's a shitty USC QB and equally shitty Buffs offense to lampoon in here.

Disagree with this

By far the best thing to talk about today is the collapse in Happy Valley

A fine point

This team is in no danger of being compared to '02

I agree with everything you guys say

By all means, bring on the Boilers

I just also happened to notice what actually happened today
As did I. Their weaknesses were barely noticed nationally, overshadowed by yet more brilliance by the QB/WRs.

Meanwhile UGA got obliterated by an okay LSU team.

The entire P12 had their playoff eligibility cancellled.

PSU had their heart ripped out by Sparty for the second straight year. Fun fact? MSU had a hideous loss to NW before both of them. And the schadenfreude is even more delicious because they once again lost late leads to OSU & MSU. Those losses were far worse than getting blown out by UGA, because their fans will be typing novellas about all of the ways they were conspired against to tilt that very tiny combined margin in both losses.

It was a good day to survive. Looking good was not on the menu today.

p.s. Get Bosa, Jones, Landers healthy and let Hilliard grow into the role.

p.p.s. Bowen returning late is a very intriguing wildcard on a line that struggles to move people.

I agree they played poorly. I'm thankful that they are alive when so many are dead.

I think there is a ton to be thankful with Haskins and this WR crew. This season would match the adjectives incorrectly attached to them if not for those units.

Every time they show a close-up of the USC quarterback the words “vote pedro" come to mind. Weird huh?

I was thinking James Franco's mildly retarded brother.
