Jury's out on Illinois this season but if Kofi comes back, they are going to be a major problem next season even if Ayo goes pro early. They just added T30 guard Adam Miller to Andre Curbelo, one of the best PGs in the 2020 class. They should still have a senior Trent Frazier. That is going to be one hell of a backcourt.

Without Langford, they have a pretty big void at the 2G. Watts is going to be a good player, but he's a smallish combo guard who is used to having the ball in his hands. Without Langford, I'd probably still consider MSU to be the favorite to win the conference, but its a much smaller margin between them and the next group.

Personally, I do not pay much attention to the results that come out of the Maui Invitational. I think players get distracted and it is a awfully long flight plus coaches are still messing around with their teams trying to find the right combos. It is a nice treat for the players but basketball wise I do not give it much credence.
