2019-2020 B1G Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

We need to win our home games.

This is why, out of all the recent losses, the one that disappoints me the most is that loss to Wisconsin. Can't afford that.

That said, I dunno that we have played a worse half than that second half yesterday.
I hope you are right but looking back Villanova and UNC are not very good teams and Kentucky might just have been blind luck. We just do not have very good outside shooting and the ball handling is just miserable.. I am also getting pretty tired about hearing about "tired legs" from some people. I thought Carton and EJ were really going to help us but that is not the case. I guess we shall see moving forward but I am not hopeful.

From 2nd in the nation to last in the conference. Is that even possible?

I've never seen such a devastating backslide. From #2 in the nation and beating basically every blue blood team in the country convincingly, to...this. One thing is for sure, if they keep scoring around 50 points a game, they will not win another game. The offense just disappeared.

If we didn't lose to Wisconsin at home, I'd chalk almost the entirety of the our struggles up to B1G road play. So far barely anyone is winning on the road in the B1G, and 3 out of 5 of OSU's B1G games so far have been on the road. Wisconsin has the two most impressive road victors in OSU and Penn State...but they lost on the road to Rutgers. Sparty has played two road games at Northwestern, where they barely eked out a 5 point win, and at Purdue where they just got hammered.

Something about playing on the road in the B1G is spookier than usual this year. Never seen anything like it.

the only true "blue blood" team that we have beaten this year is maybe Kentucky. UNC and Villanova certainly are not "blue blood" this year.. Both of them have been spanked pretty good by almost anyone they play.

Nova is still pretty good. Winning by 25 even at home was impressive. Also remember North Carolina had Anthony at the time of the game. If Carolina still had Anthony I doubt they would be losing all these recent games. What is going to hurt is if they still had Anthony North Carolina was almost for sure going to remain a top 75 NET team to give Ohio State a Quad 1 win and now that will end up being Quad 2 win at best.

I wonder if Anthony will come back I sure hope so would love to see them upset Duke and get back into the top 75 NET.
