Holyfield commits to Texas Tech over Illinois and Kansas.

I still like Illinois' talent a lot next season but that there is a huge missed opportunity to solidify their roster as a probable conference contender. Illini fans had to feel pretty good about their chances of getting Holyfield given that he originally committed to Underwood for SFA and played a lot for him as a frosh--plus, Illinois got the last visit.

Nebraska now has an 11-man class coming in. 3 sit out transfers, 4 freshmen, 2 grad transfers and 2 JC transfers.
It’s kind of cool from a training camp perspective. Beyond the basic promises and sell jobs that every college coach makes, once they’re all on campus and practicing Hoiberg can coach the team 100% in his style with almost no one that has any leftover imprint on the old culture or play style from last year. Also, no one with an attitude of it being their team due to being a star or starter last year. Just a pretty unique set of circumstances and will be interesting to see how it plays out.
