trying to picture what nebraska will look like is a bit like standing before a table full of limbs, organs, and a torso and proclaiming, "here be frankenstein."

Holyfield commits to Texas Tech over Illinois and Kansas.

I still like Illinois' talent a lot next season but that there is a huge missed opportunity to solidify their roster as a probable conference contender. Illini fans had to feel pretty good about their chances of getting Holyfield given that he originally committed to Underwood for SFA and played a lot for him as a frosh--plus, Illinois got the last visit.

Much as I revile Michigan, I have to admit Beilein is a class act, and a terrific coach.

Win for tOSU, loss for the Big Ten.

2019 PF Kevin Cross commits to Nebraska over Illinois, TCU, others.

    Intriguing high-post big.

Nebraska got 8 commits on 13 OVs. Guess it helps when you have all the opportunity in the world to offer.

It's kind of his MO, isn't it?

That said, Nebraska made a home run hire with Hoiberg. I'll also say that wherever Tim Miles lands will be getting a good one.

Nebraska now has an 11-man class coming in. 3 sit out transfers, 4 freshmen, 2 grad transfers and 2 JC transfers.

First week of practice is just ice-breaker games to get to know each other.

    That’s crazy.

It’s kind of cool from a training camp perspective. Beyond the basic promises and sell jobs that every college coach makes, once they’re all on campus and practicing Hoiberg can coach the team 100% in his style with almost no one that has any leftover imprint on the old culture or play style from last year. Also, no one with an attitude of it being their team due to being a star or starter last year. Just a pretty unique set of circumstances and will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I thought you had committed because I pulled the trigger

Hoiberg asked me to commit but I told him I want to take all my visits first. Now I just need some other places to ask me to visit. Preferably University of Hawaii, USC, stuff like that.
