2019-2020 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

I would pump the brakes on the "Pac-12 is back" talk. Oregon is good again, seems roughly on par to last year's Sweet 16 team. Arizona beat South Dakota St (no Mike Daum or Jenkins anymore) by 7 and at #14 is most likely an overrated team as Sean Miller is a consistent underachiever. Hofstra beat UCLA yesterday. Washington is alright but certainly not a team I would expect to make the second weekend of the tournament. Wazzou just lost to Omaha = trash as usual. Cal is really bad again. Utah just lost by 22 to Coastal Carolina.

Baylor looks quite good, have to say. Really good guards, they got hot and Nova just couldn't stay with them at the end.

Nova played well, too, but their defense is a bit lacking and Gillespie needs more help in the backcourt. I wonder how much water our win over them is going to hold.

Hopefully we won't have to worry if we can split the UK-UNC games.
I really don't think this is gonna be a year when OSU ends up near the bubble, so losing both of those games won't hurt very much. I would expect Nova to finish no lower than being around 50-60 in the country, anything in the top-100 is at least somewhat helpful in selection and seeding. OSU is likely to pile up 12+ wins in conference play this season.
