2019-2020 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

St Joe's has one of the ugliest courts in college basketball. Who thought it was a good idea to paint a huge gray hawk that stretches from one arc to the other, with an entirely different and much smaller crimson hawk painted across midcourt on top of the gray one?

This season feels like it is gonna be a huge year for the B1G. There is a power vacuum at the top of the sport amongst the blue bloods unlike anything we have seen in many years, and there are four or five B1G teams that I think could make the Sweet 16, and it wouldn't be a surprise at all to see a couple F4 teams out of the B1G.

the last 20 national champions have been in the top 12 of the week 6 ap poll. i've mentioned it before that the early december polls are more predictive than early march polls and certainly much more predictive than early november polls.

moreover, 8 of the last 10 champs have returned at least 50% of their scoring from the prior year. only 4 teams in the top 12 fit this year: louisville, maryland, baylor, and ohio state.

if you consider walker for woods to be a wash since walker is a junior transfer, osu returned about 78% of last year's scoring. even without walker, it's still easily over 50%.
