Brandon Bowen at tackle? What am I under the impression he was thought to be an interior guy — or am misremembering?
He played right guard two years ago before getting injured, but that was when we were solid at the tackle spots and it was him proving he was amongst the best five and finding his way on the field at the open position.

Most reports I’ve seen say he’s versatile enough to play anywhere and I am comfortable/happy to see him emerging at RT. He’s also 6’7” and stands out to me in-person as a noticeably huge dude even amongst the other linemen. So if he’s got the feet, he’s definitely got the frame to play on the edge.

He also has an amazing spirit in the face of adversity. Can't help but to root for him.

Banks for sure is a 2nd team guy so at least one of the pick 6 was not fields. Pope probably was with the twos also but has had a little 1st team time also.

So odds are Fields didn't throw the picks I think.

For as much as the practices have been open we really don't get too much info haha. Day really plays it right even though we all know who QB1 is.

Yeah I just take it as him pushing Fields and also that Fields just isn't where Day thinks he needs to be right now. The player taking first team reps is the starter by default, but that doesn't mean they earned the position. They just need a body in there. I assume that's how Day thinks of it.

On one hand it's annoying because all the legitimate backups left and there really is no other option, but on the other it's good to see him still motivating Fields as much as possible. Just hope Day is being really critical because he sees Fields' incredibly high ceiling, and not that Fields is really struggling.
