2019 Offensive Line Discussion

This OL is playing pissed off and just burying people. Every time I watch the OL Wyatt Davis is beating someone up like they took his brother's lunch money. And generally speaking, that goes for the entire OL. Gotta say that I am very, very impressed with these guys so far. If they keep this up, JK and Fields need to chip in on a big steak dinner.

Offensive line is playing well, but don't let it go unnoticed how much of a difference it makes when safeties and LB's cant shoot gaps unihibited because there is minimal threat of a run game from the QB.

We all loved Haskins.......wouldn't trade it for the world. But this is what a duel threat QB brings to an offense. He's making the game easier on Dobbins, but especially the offensive ine, who has one less guy to block. Fields is carrying a safety or an LB with him on every action......now he just needs to be aware when he hands off so he doesn't continually take the unneeded punishment. But lets be honest.....Haskins doesn't take that hit. You know why? Because the LB is crashing down the LOS on Dobbins instead of focusing on the QB.

With that said.....I'm in love with Wyatt Davis. Plays with energy on another level...I wanted him at center last year and Jordan at guard if I'm honest. I'll trust the coaches. But Davis is a freak. Beyond that, I feel like the group is one. The backups have been mixed in frequently with the starters and I feel like they're all playing for each-other which you don't always get. Josh Alabi was a player of the game for us against Nebraska....which is awesome. And I think the team loves it.

I liked the make-up of this team prior to the season, but they've blown me away.

Also love the addition of jonah Jackson. An all conf senior OL who is hungry for success...can't put a price on that
