Go Centennial Stars!!!

Making the playoffs is a big thing for those kids. This is a football program that once made national news - and not all that long ago - for futility having been beat 96-0. If they get past Jackson tonight, I doubt they beat Alder. Still, very proud of those guys!

I gotta think the Div I winner is coming out of Region 4. Cinci football is dominant right now. I'm going Colerain or X

Div II - I'm really hoping for a Columbus St. Francis DeSales vs Toledo St. Francis DeSales. Who's more St. Francis DeSales-er? We'll find out.
I remember a large painted sign that said "F LI C K the Frannies" at my Toledo high school, with the L and the I not quite that close together. That was very rebellious back in the day.

@JCOSU86 - awesome job as usual!

Here are my picks, none of which will likely come remotely close to being true....

D1 - Mentor over Colerain, Colerain has 1 loss by 7 to St X, just beat Fairfield, commonly peak this time of the year. Their game against Mason worries me but whatevs
D2 - Best division for the playoffs...I think. Gimme Hoban for the win and I'll say against La Salle. So many good teams in this division, Massillon, Avon, Avon Lake, TCC, Turpin, etc. Gonna be fun!
D3 - I'll take Bishop Hartley and I'll say Steubenville who always has a stupid run in the playoffs. I'll call an 8 over 1 upset with Glenville over Norwalk also.
D4 - Clinton Massie over Licking Valley, although the real title game will be Clinton Massie vs Wyoming. Clinton Massie beat Bishop Hartley earlier this year so they are legit. 2 legit to quit...before a title.
D5 - Okay, I"m going with Kirtland and then I let my 3 year old pick the other....she believes in Orrville and according to her sources at the daycare, they are really peaking right now.
D6 - Honestly I have no clue, this division is alot legit...I'm going with Glouster Trimble. Yeah they play in a crap division but they've GIVEN UP ONLY 6 POINTS ALL YEAR. YES. 6. And I'll say over Coldwater.
D7 - Not going to overthink, Marion Local over Leipsic.

I apologize to all teams I've cursed.

We had a sign in the opposing stands n high school that said "PlUCK THE FALCONS" with the right-hand part of the loop of the "P" written much thinner so you didn't see it unless you were real close, and the lower-cased "l" touching the upper-cased "U" so they blended, but again if you were up close you could see the difference and security couldn't really do anything.

D1 - No real surprises, almost chalk all the way. I will say I'm taking Olentangy Orange to escape their bracket and make the final 4. Elder and St. X next Friday, niiiice.
D2 - Massillon and Hoban on a demolition course towards each other. I've been calling for an Avon/Avon Lake rematch with Avon Lake getting revenge, on track for that. TCC struggled more than I imagined. Lasalle looking great.
D3 - New Philly barely escaped the dreaded 8/1 upset. My Steubenville pick already dismantled, way to go Bigdog. Same with Glenville, Goddammit you suck at this. 4th bracket in D3 was upset city! 6/7/8 seeds all advance!
D6 - Bracket 1 went chalk and is going to be tough, Carey beats Western Reserve for another 8/1 upset, Sherwood beats LCC for another 8/1 upset!

Bummed about my HS alma mater, Brecksville-Broadview Heights. They had a 28-10 lead against Benedictine in the first half and didn’t trail until less than 30 seconds left in the game. Ended up losing 41-38. Would have been awesome for those kids to win a playoff game after going 0-10 last season.

Oh oh, I'm a North Royalton Bear...ya'll got the golden shoe this year, 4th quarter broke us down.

D4 - Perry is very good, Clyde hit another 8/1 upset over Keystone, Indian Valley upset, and Clinton Massie goes down...God I'm so sorry for picking you guys, my apologies.
D5 - Just about all chalk, Ironton looking awesome...nothing unusual here last night.
D7 - Cuyahoga Hts. and Warren JFK next week, should be a doozy...Edgerton cruised over McComb which was somewhat surprising, Shadyside dominated, New Bremen pulled ANOTHER 8/1 upset over New Miami and are the official New school, Marion Local and Fort Laramie embarrassed their opponents and will battle next week, game of the week?

More games tonight and tomorrow!!

D1 - Mentor and St. Ed's advance for another matchup, they seem to meet every year in reg season and playoffs. Mentor been better all year but St. Ed's is peaking at the right time, I'd pick them right now to win that one. Dublin Coffman and Springfield advance, very similar to the matchup just mentioned. Groveport Madison pulled an upset but watch out, Pickerington Central is coming off an insanely dominant win. Elder Elder Elder, they beat St. X for the 2nd time this year, has to feel good...their luck will run out against Colerain though, taking form like every year they are. This year in D1 is like most, it's the have's and the have not's

D2 - A much more exciting division IMO, my favorite.....Washington smoked Perry in front of a sold out crowd, Hoban outlasted Mayfield in a game that was 3-0 at half....wow that regional final is going to be phenomenal. Avon and Avon Lake headed back to the rematch, as your resident genius said....and I'm still taking Avon Lake and getting their revenge. TCC cruised and will meet Lewis Center Olentangy which is a very tough 6 seed. Harrison and La Salle in their reg final, but La Salle is looking too tough right now to take down before states.

D3 - Hey look another division better than D1! New Philly goes down to Aurora, Chardon obliterated their game, I'm still taking Aurora though. Sandusky got revenge on Norwalk to get the upset, love that rivalry, and Mansfield moves on also....good for that community, they need it. Bishop Hartley and Alder advance for their annual reg final game, while Trotwood Madison will meet Hamilton Badin. Trotwood doing their usual 5 or lower seed run, gotta think they move on to states.

D6 - New Middleton Springfield pulls a 1 point win over Glouster Trimble, GOTW? They'll get Mogadore, very fun matchup. Carey gets another upset as the 8 seed and moves on after a shutout and will get East Knox who got their own 1 point win, KaRdIaC kIdS bAbY....Anna cruised to no surprise and will get Archbold after they got their own...wait a second...1 point win. Anna is always a power but Archbold may have their best team, they knocked out Coldwater in round 1 so hard to go against them. Lastly Covington got the upset over undefeated Chillicothe SE and will get Mechanicsburg, gimme the Mechanics...oh wait they're not the Mechanics? What a missed opportunity.
