What you do all week has a lot more to do with endurance than # of plays on Saturday; and I expect they’ll rotate guys in big games and keep them fresh

And if it’s bowl/cfp you’re concerned about; behavior in December determines bowl/cfp fitness (2006: exhibit A)

Endurance for a game, indeed, a season, is the purview of Mickey Marrioti. I have complete confidence in his training, based on known prior results.

Dude
We already brought up that painful memory

or did we forget we were logged in as dbb when we said it?

My only concern with this team is the starters on D run out of gas in a 4 quarter game...
Why? The dline has 10+ players, we have 6 legit LBs, 4 good corners, and 2 elite safeties.

Not to mention we can go to different formations to give players a break too... such as running a 4-4 to give a corner a break or a 3-3-5 to give a DL a break.

Only way I can see us being tired is on an indoor field, against a very efficient offense, and they keep us on the field. Which means to me probably someone like LSU but even then our defense is too good not to win their share.

I get what your saying ..what derails this train? Why would we lose to PSU or scUM? Talent No Coaching No Endurance or complacency? The only questions left to answer.

I’m with you. I honestly don’t know how you can be a Buckeye fan and not be worried about the next four games. And then 2 more assuming we get those.

The last team that I thought was this dominant was 1998. Fuck me. 1998.

I’ll readily admit that this team looks significantly more dominant than that team, but....as a Buckeye fan, it is my God given right to worry about some team less talented than mine somehow beating my team. It is my right and I am executing it nervously.

For all the praise this team and the coaches have received up to this point, this is the part of the season they will be remembered by.

Legends will either be made or fade to black starting this weekend. Big Ten Championship and Playoff spot on the line, The Game, 7-0.

It all hangs in the balance right now. Will they stamp their legacy? Because no one is going to look back fondly on this season unless business is taken care of at the end of November.

You get two hours to claim the Big Ten East Championship and earn that pair of Gold Pants. For all the hard work and dedication, bruises and broken bones, you get two short hours to be defined as a success or a failure. Two hours to go out as one of the best Ohio State has ever seen or a unit that will always leave everyone scratching their heads.

Ryan Day said none of the numbers matter. The accolades and hype and CFP shows dissecting ranking spots don’t matter. None of it means anything.

That’s because he knew this was coming. He knows what it means if it isn’t handled with extreme care and supreme focus.

He’s right, you know.

Crunch time has arrived. Take it by storm.
