Forgot to respond to this, but this is a pretty batshit insane statistic considering how offensively dominated the game is today. I do expect this to go out the window, at least by the CFP, but still.
If we somehow manage to lose a game IMO this CFP committee will remember how dominant we've been. We were not dominant in 15, 17, and 18 which is why our loss hurt us.

With how badly we've won I expect that to mean something if we somehow drop a game.

The other side of that coin

The underperformance against Rutgers (it was... that’s a fact) might have been cause for concern; it might have been the staff easing back on the intensity, letting the team breathe, knowing that they have to be “on” three weeks in a row. As Gandalf would say, “The breath before the plunge”.

If it’s the latter, or if the team took it upon themselves to take a breath before the plunge, it is completely reasonable to expect this team to dominate PSU, TTUN, and NAMENOTIMPORTANT U. the way they have everyone else. Those teams are not special.

I’ve seen others opine that there’s no way that an undefeated SEC champ isn’t #1.

I disagree. If this team does what a lot of us think they’ll do, the committee will, I expect, do the right thing.

*not that it matters*

Even as I type this I'm sort of regretting it, but I really think Day & Co. are going to whipass the pedsters. I love the energy with which we've started games this year and the near real time first half adjustments. I think we'll see more of that tomorrow. No reason to make it have to be a four quarter game. Put them away early and stay on the gas.

I agree last week was sort of a disappointment but I look at that game exactly as I did FAU. Went up big very very quickly and our players just got uninterested. We then put in all our back ups and they allow them to score 14 of their 21 both games.

We all know what happens to Rutgers/FAU if we play our starters for the whole game.

That said I hope we put KJ Hill as our punt returner these next 3 weeks. At this point our offense/defense are so good you don't risk a fumble with Garrett.

Cincinnati and Fredo are going to their respective CCGs. Bucks beat them by a combined score of 118-5.

Alabama beat New Mexico State and Western Carolina. :roll1:

FAU is 8-3, leads the C-USA East Division by a game, and is a 9 point favorite of Southern Miss next week.

All three of Ohio State's OOC opponents will likely reach their CCGs, and are a combined 25-5 against teams not named Ohio State.

For the 2019 regular season, we finished with a scoring offense of 49.9 ppg (#1), a scoring defense of 11.8 ppg (#4), and a scoring differential of 38.1 ppg (#1), winning all but one game by at least 24 points. Not too shabby.
Now that the NCAA stats have been updated with yesterday's games, we also finished #5 in total offense, #4 in rushing offense (behind the three service academies, who essentially do nothing but run), #4 in rushing defense, and still #1 in total defense and #2 in pass defense after giving up 300+ passing yards yesterday.
