2019 Week 14 CFB Open Thread

Are you sure we'd end up in that #1 spot? Despite our impressive stats (which weren't as great today), LSU will give them a finale against the #4 team in the country.

We're simply playing a top 10 team we've played before.

I think so. Same number of Top 15ish wins. OSU played no FCS opponents, and beat 11 of 12 by 24 points or more. Would’ve been 12 of 12 without fumblemania against Penn St. Also all three of our OOC opponents will play in the conference championship games. Miami, OH is the worst and has seven wins despite playing Ohio St, Iowa, and Cincinnati.

Benjamin wanted to go to Ohio State. The Buckeyes took Dobbins instead. Each school got a "win" in this case.

Chose right. Benjamin is spectacular in this version of the PAC, but he’s about 20 pounds underweight for any workload at OSU. Here he’d have been a hood ornament like McCall.

Biggest credit to Day is there were no mail-it-in games this season against inferior opponents, unless you want to count the first five points surrendered to Miami, Oh, or Michigan’s two TD drives today minus Shaun Wade.

2001 & 2002 Miami, Fla still had some first half turds and could flip the switch and bury teams in the second half. Can make the argument this Ohio St team had no such struggles. Coach Day has drawn out a ridiculous level of hyper-focus from these Buckeyes that simply has not happened in college football since the 60s and 70s.
