Crazy that we are sitting less than a month from Selection Sunday and OSU is in position for a #1 seed. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm increasingly hopeful that these guys can get there. The way they have come on and grown as the year has progressed has been fabulous. A #1 seed this year would especially be huge with Gonzaga and Baylor being clearly the teams to beat. If you can get in a region without either of them, that's ideal.

Ohio State rose from No. 7 to No. 4 in last week's Associated Press top-25 poll, but it didn't move up any more on Monday after beating Maryland and Indiana. The 17-4 Buckeyes remained at No. 4 in the latest ranking to start the week.

They are still behind No. 1 Gonzaga, No. 2 Baylor and No. 3 Michigan, which officially sets up this weekend's game versus the Wolverines as a top-four matchup between Big Ten rivals who most project as No. 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament as of now. Third-ranked Michigan and fourth-ranked Ohio State will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Schottenstein Center for their only regular season showdown.
