Casey has roughly 10 offers, including the likes of Gonzaga, Indiana, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan, Purdue and Ohio State.

“Everybody has been consistent and pushing hard,” Casey said. “We’re going to try and get out to as many college campuses as possible. I’m not thinking about cutting the list down until we can get out for some official visits.

“I definitely want to get out to Illinois, Michigan, Ohio State, probably Gonzaga, maybe Kansas. My parents and I have talked about getting to as many colleges as possible. I took a visit to Purdue and one to Illinois before they shut everything down.”

Here were his comments on several of his top schools:

* On Ohio State – “I liked the way they used E.J. Liddell and (Duane) Washington. It just fits me perfectly, I would say. I feel like I could play both of those spots if I had to. They play through their fours a lot.”

Staying on the hardwood, Ohio State saw some good news yesterday thanks to AJ Casey securing an official visit to see the Buckeyes this coming June 6-8. A Chicago native, Casey is a 6-foot-8, 180-pound power forward and one of the best players in the entire country for the 2022 class. Ranked as the fifth-best player at his position and the No. 21 player overall, Casey would be a huge addition to this Ohio State roster. Here’s to wishful thinking this official visit is just what Holtmann and crew need to seal the deal and bring another star Illinois native to Columbus.

Consolation prize on that MeanStreets team will have a better college career than Casey. Not the upside though.
I do not quite understand what you are trying to say. I know that MeanStreets is a very good AAU team some more explanation would be appreciated. I know that Casey might not be the best guy on the team but…. I also know that Ohio State is probably not the front runner for his services. Beyond that….

MeanStreets is Tai Streets’ AAU team here in Chicago. Yes, they are always stacked. Casey and Jalen Washington are the big prizes, but Ty Rodgers will probably have a better college career and probably end up at ttun. :grr:
