Ohio State won't have a pair of forwards on Thursday evening.

Kyle Young (ankle) and Alonzo Gaffney (illness) will miss the Buckeyes' game against Nebraska, a source confirmed to Eleven Warriors. The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

In their absence, Ohio State will have only eight healthy, eligible players in its lineup, including four big men: Kaleb Wesson, Andre Wesson, E.J. Liddell and Ibrahima Diallo.

Though Chris Holtmann will likely ride a three-guard lineup featuring CJ Walker, Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington Jr. for extended minutes, it'll be incumbent upon Liddell to effectively fill in in the frontcourt.

so we're essentially down to a 7-player lineup. i'm not including diallo, though he may get a few minutes tonight since nebraska isn't the strongest opponent. heaven help us if kaleb and liddell get in foul trouble. kaleb especially better play smart.
I feel that in college ball, playing with a small lineup is generally better than playing with two bigs. But yes they need Kaleb to be out there a lot tonight.

7 guys vs the #32 ranked team in tempo, what could go wrong.

Now luckily they aren’t very good on either side of the court with that speed but still, they’re dangerous enough to bite at home and Bucks certainly can have an off night.

Just want a win but won’t be surprised either way this game goes.
