That's what she said?

Thank you. No joke, thank you.

I laughed. Oh, and the whole thing about the scUM fans?

Jesus, I may have murdered them. Seriously. One, we beat them in the basketball tourney. Two, their coach is fucking going to jail(sarcasm) and is universally regarded as a douchebag pussy.

So, go ahead and give me shit about losing a nailbiter in the Sweet Sixteen.

Out of beer, drinking Crown.

This team went out and achieved all year long, and without the use of a bench. I can't complain about a Big Ten title, a Big Ten tourney championship and a Sweet 16 bid.....just did it have to be the god damned, motherless, soulless Subpar Education Conference!!!! UGHHHH!

cooled off

well, as I explained to the wife, this team was not supposed to be all that great. They really had a nice run, just kinda fell apart there at the end. The defense was not there, and when they pursued they got snookered good... Turner turned it over twice in the last minute, thought he was gonna make that last shot... didn't.. Madsen got the board but couldn't get it out to Turner.... ahhh well.

They didn't get clobbered or anything.

Would not complain if ET went pro but I'm just wondering if he'll come back one more year and try to get a 'ship with Sullinger and the rest.

Not a bad year, boys, not bad. What the hell am I gonna do until kickoff??

I can't count how many times I was yelling to the TV at someone - but especially Lighty or Lauderdale - to stand in the lane or the sides of the basket and take a charge. More times than not I saw one of three certain players either stand there and half-heartedly put their hand up or just lightly sidestep as Chism plowed to the rim. At the worst, with our feet set in a good defensive stance and the offensive player "under control" it would have been a no-call, but at least we would have been trying to keep them from getting to the basket as easily. Sure, there was a massive mismatch of physical size down low, but no one tried to make a difference from the way I saw it. And I say that not to bash players, but to point out a major flaw in how I think we played. We basically took it however Chism and co. wanted to dish it out. The lack of physicality on our part hurt us, but that admittedly isn't our style of play.

EDIT: The one negative to that 1-3-1 is that it took Dallas up towards the 3 line. I would have liked to have seen Lighty and Dallas switch between that low 1 position more, and maybe have seen a 1-2-2 look instead of stacking the middle and having the 3 collapse when the outside shot looked like a problem. Playing man created problems, but I think its largely because no one looked like they wanted to get physical with Tenn.

Sucks to lose to an SEC team again, and I hope Turner stays for one more year. Football season can't get here soon enough.
