The Buckeyes put four players in double figures on the night and made the Maryland Terps defend every part of their game. When people around the country were questioning their win in College Park, they left little doubt and have become the only team in the B1G to defeat Maryland twice now. Which just happen to be the only two losses they have experienced since joining the B1G.
The Buckeyes led at halftime by a score of 47-40 and repeated that effort for the second half making the final score 94-86. The hot shooting Buckeyes hit 12 of 23 from three-point range and defensively caused 23 turnovers for the game and held the Terps to 50% shooting(37-73) from the field. The Buckeyes themselves shot 48% from the field(36-75) and had 15 assisted buckets on the night.
The Buckeyes were led in scoring by Kelsey Mitchell with 33 points (12-24 FG, 4-8 3-point, and 5-5 from FT), Ameryst Alston with 22 points(8-18 FG, 4-9 3-point, 2-2 FT and had 8 assists), Alexa Hart with 17 points(8-14 FG, 1-2 FT 6 Rebounds and 3 Blocks) and Shayla Cooper with 11 points(4-7 FG, 1-1 3-point, 2-2 FT and had 10 Rebounds).
Maryland was led in scoring by Brionna Jones with 28 points(11 Rebounds), Tierney Pfirman with 16, Walker-Kimbrough(7 Rebounds) with 14 and Kristen Confroy with 13 points.
