ABJ - OSU needs to have independant investigation

I can paste this if anyone wants me to..

Anyways, this is an arguement that I am hearing from everyone down here too... there is this conspiracy that the NCAA doesn't want to apply sanctions to arguably one of the most popular and the most lucrative program... I still say that is pure BS.. Everyone's arguement is that this will be final and then everyone will know the truth..

So, let me make a quick point and see if it makes sense or if I got slipped some paint chips..

We have nothing to gain in this... IF they find something, we simply nail our own coffin, why the hell would we want to do that...

Now, the more likely scenario, that the investigation will find nothing.. so one of two likely outcomes will happen for most non-OSU fans... Either they won't care since the news will be pushed to the back pages and barely get any mention on the *news* outlets.. the damage for many of the people out there has already been done, nothing we can do to change that.

They other possiblilty is that the same idiots that are claiming the NCAA isn't going to punish us for the above various reasons, are just going to find the conspiracy in this, and say that "well, Ohio State PAID these investigators, so they are just going to say what Ohio State tells them"

Again, this is a no win situation... I guess it is just hoping that this blows over, nothing else comes from it, and maybe people will jump on Auburn or Free Shoes the next time they f up..

Lol, that's ridiculous, and it's just a proactive attempt by those who hate us to paint us into a no-win corner. The NCAA wasn't shy about going after Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Miami and several other high profile programs. We're not going to be any exception. The simple fact that they're willing to reopen an already cleared investigation just because Clarett ran his mouth, *without* any new facts or evidence, speaks pretty clearly to me that they're entirely willing to come after us.

I guess some people just need to believe we're guilty. They want to so they will, and no evidence to the contrary is going to convince them otherwise. Not really a surprise when you get tools like Freeman and Friend openly running a negative PR campaign against us .

We're the I-A football version of the McMartin's. Guilty once accused, and even when acquitted a second time, we'll still be guilty just because it's basically impossible to sway public opinion once set .
