Adam Breneman (TE Penn State)

That's precisely what happened to Breneman on an unofficial visit to Penn State Friday when he sat down with Nittany Lions head coach Bill O'Brien -- the former offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.

"It's neat," Breneman said. "Especially all the success that he had in New England with the offense and being Tom Brady's quarterback coach. Arguably the two best tight ends in the NFL were both under him.
Hopefully, Urb countered the BoB TE trump card by finessing with the fact that he was Hernandez' COLLEGE coach! That is arguably more important.

He did. Read 11W's piece on him a couple of days ago, you'll see that.

edit: Definitely not saying he'll pick us, especially given Wade's observation, but just saying.

During his time on campus, Adam said that he "got a really good feel for the program" and "was extremely impressed with the offense and how I would be used". While Bill O'Brien was selling the success of Aaron Hernandez in the NFL, Meyer sold his success while at the University of Florida and how he was able to take Hernandez's talent and craft him into the offensive weapon he is for Bill Belichick today.

I wouldn't have said this a year ago, but today it actually makes me really happy to see this verbal to PSU. I really don't want to see the PSU program get flushed down the toilet for 20 years. Getting a commitment like this will definitely help keep them from circling the drain.

For the sake of the B1G we need a strong PSU program. And as a Michigan fan, like seeing a little competition for the leaders division title.

Adam Breneman is an outstanding player and a great addition to Penn State's recruiting class, but if this guy is better than even Rodriguez as a head coach at a major program I would be shocked.
