Advice on books to read

Hey guys I am looking for some advice on boks to read. I am 24 and have done sales/marketing related jobs for the last few years. I have been through most of the "inside sales"/"how to sell" books and am looking for other business related and personal enjoyment books to read.

I enjoy managing people and was a social psychology major in school so am very interested in that stuff as well.

Next up are Good to Great and Feed the Eagles.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a fairly new one out from Disney on leadership that I plan on adding to my small collection of business books once my 50% holiday discount kicks in. Forget the title of it off the top of my head, though. One that I absolutely love is "[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Satisfied-Customers-Three-Friends-Angry/dp/038552272X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1285140189&sr=8-1"]Satisfied Customers Tell Three Friends, Angry Customers Tell 3,000[/ame]." Another one that I enjoyed reading was "[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Wal-Mart-Effect-Powerful-Works---Transforming/dp/0143038788/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1285140319&sr=1-1"]The Wal-Mart Effect[/ame]," which was definitely very interesting. On the more psychological side, there's Malcom Gladwell's very highly rated books. I am currently working my way (very slowly) through "Tipping Point", and I have "Blink" waiting on my shelf when I finish.

If you are into things like how modern technology has effected/affected communication and consequently economics and various related topics, you may also enjoy "Wikinomics." I haven't really been able to get into it very much myself because it wasn't quite what I expected, but there is definitely some great information in there.

Oh, and don't forget, if you get anything from Amazon, make sure you click on the "BP Store" link in the bar at the top of the forums and buy through that link!

Tipping Point was a great book. I have read portions of "Satisfied customers tell three..." as well.

Thanks again guys.

I hate bringing back old threads, but I am currently looking for some business/economics/marketing books to expand my small library/collection. I'm very close to buying "End the Fed" by Ron Paul, and I ran across an interesting book at B&N yesterday that sparked my interest in getting some more reading material. I am very interested in social media marketing as well. The Disney Institute has a new book on leadership out that I will be snapping up once my discount gets back to 50%, which also leads me to my interest in anything related to Disney on the business and community development side of things.

I really need to finish "Tipping Point" and "Blink" before I dive into new material, but it is never too soon to start compiling the "to buy" list.

For those reading Blink or the Tipping Point: once you've read one Malcolm Gladwell book, you've read them all. Gladwell piecemeals together periodical articles he has written in the past, tries to make the argument that they are all related and lead to an unsupported conclusion. He might be the most overrated author of this generation.

I would recommend "Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kennedy Toole. Great information on corporate politics and positioning. Also a great insight on the entrepreneurial world of street vending.

Not to mention workplace safety issues.

Not a fan of Malcolm Gladwell and Blink....I am though a huge fan of Jeffrey Gitomer. I recommend "Customer Satisfaction is Worthless, Customer Loyalty is Priceless". It is an easy read and dead on.

The Leadership Engine and Good to Great are excellent reads as well.
