Ahmir was really impressive tonight at FNL. He was taller than everyone else he was going up against and he was surprisingly fast off the line. Would give a few jukes at the line and take off around the DB before he could lay a hand on him. He did one guy near the end of the 1 on 1's in the back corner of the end zone like Michael Thomas did to Maryland. This kid's gonna be a good one.

I do NOT want to lose this guy to That Team. They don't deserve him.

I can see why folks have questioned the best a position for him. Just doesn't seem like a smooth WR to me. It looks like he isn't smooth in and out of breaks, taking choppy steps. Even catching the ball just doesn't seem natural. I am a total hack at evaluating but I just wonder if this guy wouldn't make a better defensive player like a safety. Who knows....maybe he will blossom with more time. He's certainly athletic but I don't get his lofty ranking personally. Not as a WR anyway. I guess that's why 247 has him as an ATH. Apparently down to tOSU and Meatchicken and I wonder how much we will press him for a verbal. Did he work out as a DB at all during FNL?

It seems like this one is likely to slip away (probably to Michigan) as Ohio State continues to pursue guys like Victor and Craig-Myers.

THIS sort of sums up my thoughts as well. Seems like he would be behind Victor and Corley at WR and behind Fuller and Hamlin at DB.....might even be pick 'em between him and Rene at DB but who knows? As far as looking at him as a future LB....would it be better to look at Hansford? Guy just seems to be hard to peg in a class that is filling up quickly with several good options still out there for the good guys.

If your thought process is correct, it looks like he will be heading to that place up north according to this article
'Down to Michigan and Ohio State' -- Four-star WR Ahmir Mitchell nearing decision: Ohio State football recruiting
Love how it's 'down to OSU and ttun'. Sounds like he is trying to pick between two schools but in reality he couldnt come to OSU if he wanted at this point. It's really he wants to go to OSU but will settle for ttun if he has to. Shame because the kid looks extremely talented and I wanted to see him in the class. 5 years ago I wouldn't have been able to imagine turning away a guy with this much talent. Only so many spots for wideouts.
