Alabama Crimson Tide (official thread of Football, Fake Championships and Banjo)

I had this injury along with 3 pelvic fractures, a broken femur, and a fractured spine. I made a full recovery and I’m actually faster than I was before the injury. Took a year and a half though. Still can’t sleep on my left side, but that’s because of the titanium rod in my thigh. Other than that, they better put him on xarelto, not warfarin, until he has full mobility.
So what happened to the fucktard who hit you? Hopefully he got more than what the fucking punk who hit a friend of mine on her while he we drift-racing on a winding road. Her left leg is all fucked up and she's just now, after 22 months and about a dozen operations, getting so she can walk without crutches or walker. Little fuck got one year in jail and five years probation, because his dad is a lawyer.

Apparently he was medically cleared (from the ankle injury) to play. Are you saying that lingering effects of his ankle injury somehow contributed to him getting his hip injured?

How often does somebody break their hip on an otherwise uneventful tackle?
You sure limited mobility and ROM doesn't play into his body ending up in a contorted awkward position?
I know when i snapped my ankle, i could walk... even run a little... but it wasnt the same kind of motion for months, even if others didnt notice.

Lyle Cain’s facility in Birmingham has one of my company’s robots

But he’s flying Tua to Houston

That means he’s not doing the surgery

Definitely the right call in my opinion. They found someone that is good enough to have a real shot at getting Humpty Dumpty back together again.

What’s interesting to me is that they are not giving the name of the surgeon who they’ve chosen

I would assume it’s exceedingly rare, but it happened to Bo Jackson, one of the best conditioned athletes of his era, so it can happen.

Good news for Tua is the ridiculous advances in medicine in just the last 30 years.

Knees, hips, Achilles, UCLs could all be career-enders in the 80s, or 50/50 shots at best. Some of these injuries today and guys are coming back in under 8-9 months.

Yeah meanwhile it seems like some folks want to find something terrible in Saban. He’s playing his best player, who wants to play and is cleared. And it’s the first half. That’s what ANY coach would do.

She hit 4 year people and got 1 year per person, because "no one died." It was a joke.

I tend to buy into this thought, to an extent. I can’t speak from experience regarding the different motion and that playing into the injury, but at a minimum his ability to escape the pocket and any tackle was more than likely impacted. As such, the likelihood of any injury, regardless of severity, was increased — this one being in the team picture of worst case examples.
