Alabama Crimson Tide (official thread of Football, Fake Championships and Banjo)

Yeah they have a shit load of 4 star WRs: however, one of the better ones just transferred out:

and Slade Bolden announced that he will enter the 2022 NFL Draft.

An Early Peek: What Alabama's 2022 Depth Chart Could Look Like

Wide receivers (Z)
Ja'Corey Brooks (So.) 5 star
Traeshon Holden (Jr.) 4 star
Shazz Preston (Fr.) 4 star or Kobe Prentice (Fr.) 4 star

Wide receivers (X)
Agiye Hall (So.) 4 star
Thaiu Jones-Bell (Jr.) 4 star or Aaron Anderson (Fr.) 4 star or Isaiah Bond (Fr.) 4 star

Wide receivers (H)
JoJo Earle (So.) 4 star
Christian Leary (So.) 4 star
Kendrick Law (Fr.) 4 star

Entire articlee: https://www.si.com/college/alabama/...chart#gid=ci029751b3200026c7&pid=quarterbacks

Regardless, yeah Alabama will reload their WRs have a decent passing game; and maybe a couple of those guys will eventually win a Heisman, be an All American, and/or be a first round draft choice in 2024 or 2025. However, I still can't seeing their passing game being up to the standard in 2022 that they had the last couple of years, i.e. DeVanta Smith/Jalen Waddle and Jameson Williams/John Metchie.

They also could secure Jermaine Burton from UGA in the portal, and their run game will be that much stronger with getting Gibbs from GA Tech, and have 3 former 5stars to back him up. Bama will be back in the CFP without a doubt, and their offense won’t miss a beat.

Transfer portal and NIL will ensure that as long as Saban is at the helm, they will never have a downyear!

Saban warned people about RPOs and how it needs to change. People laughed that he was old and the game had passed him by. Now Alabama runs the RPO better than anyone and their offense is hard to stop.
Saban warned people about the portal. People laughed at him and said he was just afraid his giant classes would all bail on him. Now Alabama works the portal better than anyone.
Saban just warned us about NIL. People laughed at him about it saying he was scared of A&M and Texas and their boosters. I'm more concerned about how Alabama will organize their NIL than A&M and Texas.
Saban has been pretty spot on noticing things that will be an issue for CFB. He wont make a martyr of himself or his team and not make use of those issues to his fullest benefit though.
(btw, I stole this from a poster on 11W because it was so spot on)

So you think they'll still produce All-American/1st Round WR's, but somehow they won't be up to the standard of....past All-American/1st Round WR's?

No, I just think they won't be as productive in their first year starting (i.e. 2022) as they will be down the road (i.e. 2023, 2024, and/or 2025) with a year or 2 experience under their belt. The All-American/1st Round Draft Pick, etc. will come in the later years.

I hope our SEC guests that we enjoy here can start to understand why people look at the SEC like the cesspool it is. Every day we got some more outlandish shit and they have Brian Kelly ramping shit up although I did like the Orgeron Tales.

SEC Football in 2022 is basically the WWE in the 90s/00s mixed in with some Jerry Springer.
