I don't get it, as much as he said that in the media, Beanie has always, as far as I can remember, been a Buckeye fan. Heck, his peewee team was even red & gray, and he chose them because of OSU. We'd sit around and watch Antoine Winfield games and he never rooted for anyone other than OSU...

Exactly, I think many recruits may wear scUM apparel and claim to follow them, yet they don't truly follow college football. I think a lot of times it's difficult for the die hard college football fan to believe a player might wear another teams gear, or watch them casually, yet pick another school when it comes to actually picking a school. I know so many kids that wanted to wear scUM gear to make some kind of a statement, yet ended up rooting for or going to OSU later on. Saine was one of those and it seems Trey might be...it's going to come down to coaching and being able to sell the program in this case(which OSU seems to be doing better at this point), not childhood favorites.

what is your guys depth chart at LB looking like come 2011?

Obi Ezeh and Jonas Mouton are SR's in '10, which means in '11 at the very least 2 spots should be wide open, and I would think that UM's future depth chart at LB would be very intriguing to DePriest or any other LB'er in the '11 class for that matter.

UM could use the "depth chart" approach to recruit any position, not just LB, because most of their players suck. But the problem with UM is that most of their players suck.

It will be stacked, just like it always is.

Doesn't matter. No recruit is realistically going to think they can come in and start as a true frosh at LB at tOSU. They should be shooting for getting into the two deep.
Even HS all americans like Bell know they aren't going to come in and take right over. However, they also know who the real LB U is, and they know they will be developed into an NFL caliber player, and have all the high profile advantages of a Buckeye.

The thought of top rated recruits fearing depth charts is played out. If a kid wants to be the best, what better way to get there than to compete with other top rated LB's? If um's defense tanks again this year, it will be interesting to see if they can start attracting top rated LB's...something they are really struggling with right now.

OSU has a lot of depth at LB, but a great prospect like DePriest could push for time early.

None of the first four in this list are around in 2011, and Tony Jackson is a walkon. The depth chart will look something like this, given the current verbals:

SLB Whiting So/Jr

MLB Sabino Sr
MLB Klein Jr
MLB Sweat Sr

WLB Dorian Bell Jr
WLB Scott McVey So/Fr

Not really a factor:
Zach Boren could play FB. If he's a LB, I doubt he scares off DePriest.
Jamel Turner - DL (LEO)

Wildcard:
David Durham, could play DL or LB.

Think it's a possibility Storm could push Sabino back outside (or Vice Versa)? Nothing against Whiting, but I really like Klein and think our 2011 starters will be Sabino-Klein-Bell which would leave room for DePriest in the two deep.

Looking at this really drives home how loaded we potentially could be for the next few years. That's as much depth/talent as I remember in a tOSU LB corp.
