If this season is showing anything, it’s that this guy was defense Tim Beck for us. Fortunately, we only had to suffer through one year of him ruining an entire side of the ball. Hey, Sooners...

I'm thinking that his time at Wash St. was a mirage, and the Leach defense and downslide of the Pac 12 had more to do with his success than anything.

I’m pretty sure Zach Smith has gone on record in his podcast laying almost all of the blame for the offensive ineptitude on Warinner.

And Cardale has pretty much backed it up by clearing Beck in a few interviews I’ve seen. That said, I don’t think I would rule out the impact of contrast effects making Beck look like a genius.

I'd also like to note that Beck was, and remains, one of the worst offensive coordinators in college football. That doesn't make him 100% responsible for Ohio State's offensive woes, but it doesn't absolve him either.

Yeah, I’m still not a fan of Beck, but over time my anger has shifted from almost entirely on him to more on Warinner given everything that has happened since. That being guys like Jones and Smith defending him, his recruiting, and Warinner being a traitor.

So, not great, but definitely better than Grinch in retrospect in my opinion.
