Florida State?s sales pitch to Andrew Wiggins in the stands was more effective than on the floor.

The women of Florida State did everything they could Wednesday night to sell top recruit Andrew Wiggins on the school during his official visit.

Isn't this a minor recruiting violation? I seem to remember that Penn State had an issue with this when the basketball fans were chanting a football recruit's name during a game. (It might have been Pryor?)

Everybody "in the know" keeps saying it is between UK and FSU, which is frustrating. I don't expect he would pay OSU any real consideration, even though it may be a better option as you know he wouldn't leave the court during meaningful PT with OSU and the Bucks should have a very talented but also experienced team around him (UK should be extremely talented but also a bit of a gamble, especially if they have four guys turn pro again, and would not have much experience in any event; FSU is just not very good right now and even with him is not going to contend for an NC). I doubt OSU gets an official visit from him, but he looked very disinterested at the FSU-UF game from what I saw last night, he was just sitting there with his head down looking at his phone and not paying any attention to the game while his parents (FSU alums) were actually watching it. Not that the FSU-UF game was all that interesting to start with, but if you're really interested in going to FSU, why would you have so little interest in watching the game you're attending in person?

Andrew Wiggins trims list, sets tentative visit dates
By Jeff Borzello | Recruiting Blogger
February 12, 2013

The nation's top-ranked high school basketball player is ready to progress in his recruitment.

After taking an official visit to Florida State in early December, Andrew Wiggins has been relatively quiet in terms of cutting down his list or taking visits. On Tuesday, the Canada native made tentative plans to take three more official visits.

Kentucky is tentatively set for Feb. 27, Kansas for March 3 and North Carolina on March 9.

?It's tentative until parents confirm they can go,? Huntington Prep (W.Va.) coach Rob Fulford told CBSSports.com.

If the tentative dates work out, Wiggins would be attending games against Mississippi State (Kentucky), West Virginia (Kansas) and Duke (North Carolina).

Moreover, Ohio State and Syracuse have been eliminated from Wiggins' list. The four aforementioned schools are all that remain for the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2013.

Report: Adidas ready to throw $180 million at Andrew Wiggins

img22243882.jpg

Here's today's sign of just how high the hype about Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins, the projected No. 1 pick in next June's much-hyped draft is. Bleacher Report reports that shoe companies are lining up to make unreasonable offers for the youngster forward the second he announces he'll be leaving school for the draft. How unreasonable? How about $180 million over ten years?

Three sources told Bleacher Report that Adidas has pegged Wiggins as their prime target—and they would be willing to open up the bank for him. Of course, no meetings or official offers can be made until Wiggins declares for the 2014 draft after his season at Kansas.

He's definitely "one and done".
