Annual BP bracket contest

The last year I played brackets was in 2011. I just got tired of having to root either for my bracket or for the teams I actually wanted to win so I just stopped playing. It really is liberating to be able to watch the NCAA tournament and root for the teams you want to win and not have to worry about your bracket.
thought it'd be rather easy for you since most tournaments you get to root for about a quarter of the field.

I rolled the dice on Wofford before I knew about PJ's status, potentially long-term.

Smart bet is to go with a few upsets early and in the end, the blue bloods will do what they do. But that was no fun this year so I went for it.

You could just fill out a bracket and not root for it? I don't care if I have Duke winning......you bet your ass I root against them every single game.

I am in a couple different pools, and in no case am I at all worried about my picks, who I'm rooting for, or anything else. See, my livelihood isn't dependent on my picks. I'm not doing them to earn a living or to make a boat load of money. It's the same philosophy I have in going to the casino - can I afford to lose the entry fee and is it worth it to me -by whatever measure - to put that fee at risk? If yes, then I play and don't much care. Sure, I want to win, and I'm sure not going to turn away any money I might win.. but... it isn't money I need to make it another day, week, month or year. Talk about liberating... you know.. just doing it for the fun of it.
